User Accounts & Responsibilities

When creating an account, you agree that:

All information provided is accurate and complete.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Unauthorized use of your account must be reported immediately to lms@assl.com.

ASSL reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion.

Prohibited Use

You may not:

Attempt to breach or test the security of the LMS.
Use software, bots, or automated tools to interfere with system performance.
Copy, distribute, or exploit course content without prior written consent.

Violation of these Terms may result in immediate account suspension or legal action.

Online Courses & Services

ASSL provides online courses, eLearning modules, and professional training designed to enhance knowledge and career development.
We strive to maintain accurate course descriptions, but minor variations may occur due to updates.
Service descriptions and start dates are listed on the Website. We deliver with reasonable care and skill.
We may vary, update, or withdraw Services without notice.
ASSL makes no guarantees of employment, certification, or specific outcomes upon completion of a course.

Availability: The LMS is generally available 24/7, with occasional maintenance windows. We will try to notify you in advance where possible. We cannot support devices or systems that do not meet the stated technical requirements.

Fees & Payments

Course fees are displayed on the website or communicated via phone/email.
Payments must be completed before accessing any online course.
Fees are exclusive of VAT, delivery costs (if applicable), and third-party processing charges.
Fees are due in full prior to access. Your bank or card charges are your responsibility
All costs associated with internet access or equipment are the learner’s responsibility.

Ordering Online

To purchase Services online, you must register an account or log in with your existing credentials.

Ordering by Telephone

To purchase by phone, call (868) 626-2775. You must still create an account to access your course online.

Contract Formation

When you place an order online or by phone, you are offering to purchase Services under these Terms. We may accept or decline your order at any time until confirmed. A binding agreement forms when we receive full payment of the applicable Fees. If your order includes multiple Online Courses, each course is a separate offer and acceptance.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel within 10 working days of purchase unless course materials have been accessed or downloaded.
Once you begin an online course, no refunds will be issued.
Course variations or cancellations outside this period are at the discretion of ASSL.

Intellectual Property

All course materials, training content, and LMS software remain the property of Amalgamated Security Services Limited or its licensors.
In exchange for Fees paid, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Course Materials and LMS solely for your personal learning and for the duration of your course access.

You must not:

Copy, modify, reproduce, republish, sell, upload, broadcast, post, transmit, or distribute Course Materials without prior written permission.
Record or relay any part of an Online Course by video or audio.
Use Course Materials to deliver other courses or training.
Remove copyright notices or reverse-engineer any software (except as permitted by law).

Breach of this section may result in immediate termination of access without refund.

Confidentiality & Data Protection/ Cookies

Both parties agree to keep confidential information secure.
Personal data collected during registration will be used in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
ASSL implements encryption and safeguards but cannot guarantee complete internet security.
By purchasing Services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal data as described here and in our Privacy Policy.
We collect registration details (e.g., contact info, demographics) to deliver Services and support. We may combine data from third parties (e.g., exam bodies or your employer) to provide Services.
We may collect aggregated technical data (e.g., browser, OS, IP, referrer URLs, pages visited) to improve performance and security.
We use cookies and session identifiers to operate the LMS. We only read cookies issued through interaction with our Website.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (including encryption where applicable) but cannot guarantee absolute security over the internet.

Limitation of Liability

ASSL and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from course participation.
We do not provide warranties regarding course completion, outcomes, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the Fees paid for the specific Online Course giving rise to the claim.
No claim may be brought more than six (6) months after the Services ended.

We do not warrant that you will successfully complete any course or achieve any specific level of knowledge.

You acknowledge that use of the LMS is at your sole risk. This disclaimer is an essential term of these Terms.

Promotional Codes, Offers & Loyalty: Promotions are time-limited, subject to change or discontinuation without notice, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash. They may be void where prohibited by law.

Termination

ASSL may suspend or terminate services if you:

Fail to make payment,
Breach these Terms, or
Engage in aggressive, bullying, offensive, threatening, or harassing conduct toward ASSL staff;

Force Majeure: ASSL will not be liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, terrorism, strikes, transport disruptions, or internet outages.

Assignment: Services are personal to you and may not be assigned or transferred. ASSL may assign, transfer, or subcontract its rights and obligations at its discretion.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad and Tobago.
